The Village of Haverstraw building department is the first stop when planning any construction and or development in the Village. We ensure proper compliance of the NYS building code as well as local codes and zoning. The Village has a planning, zoning, and architectural review board of which all paper work is handled through this department. Our department is composed of a Building Inspector (Ruben Berrios, CCI), Fire Inspector (Patrick McNamee, CCI), Code Enforcement Officer (Rafael Bueno Jr), and two Administrative Assistants (Sandra Castro and Griselda Robles). We are here to serve the residence of the Village and if there are any questions please call myself (Ruben Berrios, Building Inspector) or any of the other members of my staff, we will be more than happy to help and assist you with all of your building department needs.
