| The Finance Office of the Village of
Haverstraw is the accounting and financial management department for the
Village government.
The responsibilities of the Finance Office include some of the following:

The Village of Haverstraw tax bills are
mailed to homeowners and banks during the last week of May. Tax
collection begins on June 1st and continues until June 31st with no
penalty. Taxes will continue to be collected through 31st with the
following penalties being added to the tax bill.
On November 1st all unpaid taxes are turned over to the Rockland County Finance Office for collection. Taxes cannot be accepted at Village Hall after that date. No partial payments of taxes will be accepted. Taxes can be paid by cash, personal check or money order. Credit cards are not accepted. If you receive a tax bill which should be paid through your escrow account please forward it directly to your bank. Senior Citizens - 65 or older may be eligible for a graduate partial tax exemption if their maximum income does not exceed $29,899.00.
